Giraffe’s Spectacular Creamed Spinach
We love our side dishes, especially our creamed spinach! Years back, we ordered creamed spinach from one of our favorite restaurants. And after one bite, well in love with its creaminess and overall, awesomeness. We tried to replicate the recipe, but couldn’t quite match the flavors. So, we created our own, which is currently our favorite.
This recipe is very simple and uses only a few ingredients:
8-10 oz. package of Frozen Spinach
8 oz. of Cream Cheese
1/2 stick of Butter/Margarine
1/4 cup of Parmesan Cheese
Pepper to taste
Simple is an understatement. We merely place all the ingredients into a small casserole dish, starting with the butter. Then, lay in the cream cheese block next to the butter and pour the parmesan cheese over the mixture. Since we enjoy the flavor of the pepper, we’ll add about 1 teaspoon. And then pour the spinach in last.
Next we place the casserole in the microwave oven for about 8-10 minutes. Once completed, we’ll take the casserole out of the microwave, thoroughly stir the mixture, and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the creamed spinach is piping hot.
The casserole lasts us about 2-3 dinners and the carb count for the entire dish is only roughly 16 grams.
