Giraffe’s Strawberry Tofu Pie

When I hear the word tofu, I do not necessarily envision a dessert. When we found this recipe, years ago, we were a little reluctant to make this pie.. However, we finally did and were pleasantly surprised.

Our Jello Tofu Pie tastes exactly like a mousse, has its creamy texture, and is our healthy alternative dessert .

There are only 4 ingredients and the preparation time is merely 5 minutes!

Our ingredients are:

  • 1 Package of Silken Tofu
  • 1 8 oz. container of Whipped Topping
  • 1 small box of Sugar-Free Gelatin (Flavor of Choice)
  • 1 Cup of Hot Water

In a large mixing bowl, blend the tofu with an electric mixer, until mixture is creamy.

Next, dissolve the Strawberry Gelatin into the hot water.  We like to place our bowl of water in the microwave for 1 minute.  The water is then hot enough for the gelatin to dissolve.

Finally, we’ll add our Whipped Topping and will once again, continue blending.

Next, we’ll pour the mixture into our 9 inch Pyrex Pie Pan.

Usually, we’ll place our pan immediately into the refrigerator. However, this time, we had leftover strawberries and thought they would taste great on top of the pie. After adding our strawberries, we then placed the pie into our fridge.

Presto!! There we have it….our fluffy, tasty, and healthier dessert alternative.
